About Honi:
Honi is a board certified laser specialist, licensed electrologist and clinical therapist. She holds a masters degree in Clinical Community Counseling from the Johns Hopkins University and founded Derma Hair Care LLC in 2006, (originally "Honi's Electrolysis"), after 15 years of being in the professional beauty industry and engaging in counseling work.
Honi’s Misson on Becoming Green:
Due to personal aspiration and passion for my clients, I have decided to take a dramatic approach by introducing the line of Organic Products to the field of Medical Aesthetics, which currently is a non existent practice in the US. At the given time, the Medical Aesthetics field is pharmaceutical based and uses chemical products to achieve a variety of goals, in which can be harmful to ones health. Currently, the FDA does not regulate the cosmetic industry and our health is at high risk because we are striving to achieve beauty. Thus, I am the first to pioneer an organic approach to the medical aesthetics field, as a new way of thinking. Thus, my green mission is to provide beauty treatments from a holist perspective without sacrificing one's health. All products that I carry in my salon and on the web site, are 100% Organic, synthetic free and as natural as possible. I also use recycled & biodegradable material to further achieve my goal with respect to environment. The reality is the nature of my business (medical aesthetics) is not organic, but who said I cannot be socially responsible, environmentally conscious and ethical while still doing cosmetics.
